The Friends of the Chessie Trail invite children aged pre-school to eighth grade to a Fun Run on the Chessie Trail this Saturday, May 2, at 9 a.m.
The event is free and participants receive a Tshirt and medal while supplies last.
All runs begin at the Lexington side of the trail near the kiosk on Old Buena Vista Road. The parking area is at 172 Old Buena Vista Road at the Pure Oil sign. Distances will include a 2.6-mile, 1.3-mile and 500-meter run. Please note that a parent or guardian must sign a waiver and remain at the event site. Preregistration is requested but not required.

The mission of the Friends of the Chessie Trail is to foster strong communication among Chessie Trail stakeholders, to advocate for the community’s vision for the Trail, and to organize citizen support for a wellmaintained and safe trail.
