The end of the school year is filled with testing at RCHS.
From April 21 through April 30, students have been taking Standards of Learning (SOL) tests for Virginia Public Schools that establish minimum expectations for what students should know and be able to do at the end of each year. Starting in the first week of May, students will start taking AP exams and on May 18, final exams for all classes start.
Seniors are finishing up their time at RCHS strong. Seniors’ last day of high school will be on May 11. Seniors will watch the Senior Wildcat Weekly that the journalism class made, and attend a student versus teacher basketball game. On May 15, seniors will have the opportunity to attend a senior trip to Busch Gardens and on May 20, seniors will attend their senior picnic at Douthat State Park. Graduation practice will be on May 19 and the final event, graduation, will be at VMI’s Cameron Hall on Thursday, May 21, at 6 p.m.
