This past Saturday, my husband, Josh Gardner, had the privilege to perform with the Rockbridge Symphony Orchestra for their spring concert, “Song of the Earth.” Josh performed with the Orchestra on his euphonium for Peter Del Vecchio’s Divertimento No. 1 in G minor. The entire concert was a great success as the Orchestra’s phenomenal performance, which also included Alessandro Marcello’s Oboe Concerto in C minor and Antonin Dvorak’s Symphony No. 9 in E minor (“From The New World”), received a well deserved standing ovation.
As we’re now well into the general peak of morel season, mushroom hunters are bound to be out and foraging about. Remember to stay safe as you search the surrounding forests and mountains for those delicious fungi.
