Both the Rockbridge County High School boys and girls soccer teams won decisively over Shenandoah District rival Alleghany on Friday. The RC boys earned a 6-1 home win to improve to 6-2-0 overall, while the RC girls won 7-1 on the road to improve to 2-5-0, both overall and in the district.
Cooper Fox led the RC boys with three goals, while Brennan Roeder dished out two assists.
Lucy Boller-Pinkham paced the RC girls with five goals, while Allison Licona-Asto had three assists. In goal, Caden Marshall made three saves, and Emily Jones made two.
The Wildcats will continue district action against Staunton on Tuesday, with the boys at RC and the girls at Staunton. The night will start with junior varsity action at 5:30 p.m., followed by the varsity games at 7.
