Perkins Grant Application Forwarded
The Rockbridge County School Board approved its annual Carl Perkins grant application during its April 14 meeting, continuing federal support for the division’s career and technical education programs.
Director of Technology and CTE Paige Owens presented the 2026–27 funding request, noting that final award amounts have not yet been released. The division submitted projections based on the previous year’s allocation and will amend the budget once updated figures are available.
The Carl Perkins grant provides federal funding to support career and technical education, including programs that prepare students for skilled trades and workforce entry.
