Local youth Cooper Dietz, who is 6 years old, celebrates with two of his coaches, Ryan Hunsberger (left) and Jose Salinetro (right), after winning the Virginia USA Wrestling (VAWA) 8-andunder (8U) state title in early March at Gar-Field Senior High School in Woodbridge. Dietz, in his second year of wrestling, outscored his opponents 42-0. Both Hunsberger and Salinetro coach at Virginia Military Institute, and Dietz is also coached by Jeremy Whitmore with SouthAugusta Wrestling.
