High Bridge was glad to have the VMI rugby team return for a visit this past Sunday. Also, we welcomed back Nancy Hostetter who spent the winter months with her sister, Doris Trussell, in Florida.
Men’s Group meets today, Wednesday, April 22, at 5:30 p.m. at the fellowship hall.
Small Church meets Thursday, April 30, at 7 p.m. also at the fellowship hall.
Confirmation classes began this past Sunday after worship and will continue for several weeks. Deacons and session members met this past Sunday, also.
The two adult Sunday school classes recently combined into one class taught by the Rev. Dr. Amy Willis about the Dead Sea Scrolls.
The Presbyterian Women’s mission for the second quarter is Lisa’s House. Betsy Shepherd is the mission chairperson and will have a list of needed items.
Representing High Bridge at the Peaks Presbytery spring gathering at North Minister Presbyterian Church in Roanoke on Saturday, April 18, were Carol Tolley and Connie Powell.
The Natural Bridge/Glasgow food pantry board officers will meet April 27 at 4 p.m. at Beth Horon United Methodist Church. All interested churches should send their representatives as this is a very important meeting. We will be planning our 30th anniversary celebration to occur this summer.
The food pantry will open promptly at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, and close at 11 a.m. Special requests for the month of April are peanut butter and jelly, as well as egg cartons.
