High Bridge

Esther Pennington, 291-2629

Visitors on Palm Sunday at High Bridge Presbyterian Church and waving palms were Morgan and Harper Shepard of Woodbridge, who spent several days with their grandparents, E.G. and Betsy Shepard.

This past Sunday, High Bridge observed Holy Communion. Also, they took the “noisy can” and food pantry offerings. After the worship service, Bob and Sue Braford renewed their vows for their 50th wedding anniversary. The congregation was invited to the reception that followed the ceremony.

There will be a session meeting after church service on Sunday, April 19.

Beth Horon United Methodist Church will host the Natural Bridge/Glasgow Ruritan Club for dinner at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, at the church with a meeting to follow.

On Saturday, April 25, Beth Horon United Methodist Church will host their pork dinner fundraiser from 4 to 7 p.m. Menu is pork and gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, slaw and dessert. The cost is $15 for adults and $12 for children. Carry-out meals are available.

The Natural Bridge/ Glasgow food pantry board officers will meet April 27 at 4 p.m. at Beth Horon. All interested churches should send their representatives as this is a very important meeting. We will be planning our 30th anniversary celebration to occur this summer.

The food pantry will open promptly at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, and close at 11 a.m. Special requests for the month of April are peanut butter and jelly.
