BUENA VISTA PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING APRIL 14TH 2026

Pursuant to Code of Virginia Section 15.2-2204 and the City of Buena Vista Land Development Regulations, notice is given that the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to receive comment on the following matters.

1) Conditional Use Permit for the construction and operation of a campground with up to twenty (20) campsites, Rockbridge Creative Institute, 801 Meridian Parkway, Tax Map 8-1—-1.

The Public Hearing will be held in the City Council Chambers located in the Municipal Building located at 2039 Sycamore Avenue in Buena Vista during the regular monthly Planning Commission meeting at approximately 7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 14th 2026.

ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given per Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia and Section 808 of the County of Rockbridge Land Development Regulations (the Regulations) that the following public hearing will be held by the Rockbridge County Board of Supervisors on Monday, April 13, 2026, at or after 6:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room in the County Administration Building, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450 to consider the following application: County of Rockbridge, Virginia, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450, Zoning Text Amendment (ZTA) to modify Section 1300 (Site Plan Requirements), Section 1300.02 (Administration of this Article) of the Regulations to update the review process of site plans, to conform with recent changes in state law. CITY OF LEXINGTON NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO REVIEW AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ARTICLE XI. USE AND DESIGN STANDARDS OF THE CITY OF LEXINGTON ZONING ORDINANCE TO ALLOW TOWNHOUSES TO BE ACCESSED BY PUBLIC STREETS AND BY PRIVATE DRIVEWAYS.

A public hearing will be conducted by the Lexington City Council at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 16, 2026 in the first floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, to allow persons to appear and present their views in response to an application by the City of Lexington to amend the Lexington Zoning Ordinance. The application proposes amending Article XI to allow townhouses to be accessed by a private driveway as well as by a public street.

A copy of the draft Zoning Ordinance Amendment, case number ZOA 2026-01, is available for public review and examination between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in the Planning and Development Department located at 539 E. Nelson Street, Second Floor.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING MAURY SERVICE AUTHORITY Notice is hereby given that on April 28, 2026, beginning at 5:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, the Maury Service Authority (MSA) will hold a public hearing to receive public comment on the adoption of a proposed resolution to establish wholesale water and wastewater rates charged to the City of Lexington and to the Rockbridge County Public Service Authority as of July 1, 2026. The MSA intends to establish the wholesale drinking water rate of $5.82 per 1,000 gallons. The MSA also proposes to establish the wholesale wastewater treatment rate of sewer of $10.58 per 1,000 gallons, the leachate wholesale treatment rate of $27.38 per 1,000 gallons, and the wholesale treatment rate for septage of $114.81 per 1,000 gallons. The public hearing, which may be continued or adjourned, will be held in the MSA Board Meeting Room located on the 2nd Floor of the MSA Water Treatment Plant (130 Osage Lane, Lexington VA 24450). A copy of the proposed resolution is on file at the MSA office located at the above address.
