Afghanistan War veteran and author Ross Berkoff will speak at Virginia Military Institute this Thursday, April 9, at 8 p.m. in Mallory Hall, Room 135.
A decorated veteran of the 10th Mountain Division, Berkoff served as a cavalry and intelligence officer in Afghanistan, earning two Bronze Stars while deploying alongside the conflict’s two Medal of Honor recipients from his division.
Last November, he published “Beyond the Outpost: An Army Cavalry Officer’s War Diary in Afghanistan,” a firsthand account of his experiences on the front lines of the Afghanistan War.
He currently serves as president of RiverTech, LLC, where he oversees a global workforce of over 1,000 Defense and Homeland Security contractor employees specializing in information technology, intelligence, and national security mission planning.
