On Friday, April 3, members of the Student Council and Cat Ambassadors gave upcoming freshmen a tour of RCHS. Students from both middle schools, Lylburn Downing and Maury River, attended this event.
On Monday, March 30, the senior class had a class meeting to prepare for their end-of-the- year festivities. They went over their class trip to Bush Gardens, senior picnic at Douthat State Park, and graduation. This meeting allowed seniors to know what to expect and look forward to in their last days of high school.
The Student Council at RCHS has been making holidays fun with scavenger hunts! On St. Patrick’s Day, SCA members hid shamrocks throughout the school, and students were able to search for them between classes. If a student found a golden shamrock, they were able to redeem it for a prize. On the Friday before spring break, April 3, SCA hid Easter eggs around the school filled with candy for students to hunt for between classes.
Lastly, preparations for RCHS prom are underway. Prom will be on April 18 at Evans Hall at W&L and the event will run from 7 to 11 p.m. The theme for prom this year is Lex Vegas, so expect some fun casino themed decorations! After-Prom will be hosted at RCHS following the event with lots of food, games, and raffles for students to enjoy.
