Monday, April 6 -- The Rockbridge County High School boys soccer team cruised to an 8-0 Shenandoah District win over Buffalo Gap in Lexington.
Parker Fountain bagged a hat trick for the Wildcats, who improved to 3-2 both overall and within the district. Jonathan Roy scored one goal and set up two others, and RC also got goals from Charlie Cosgriff, Archer DeMarcellus, Rossell Sorianno and Luke Drumbl.
Wes King recorded 16 saves for the Bison, who fell to 0-4 overall and within Shenandoah play.
For the game, the Wildcats held a 44-0 advantage in shots and an 8-0 edge in corner kicks.
RC will return to the pitch with a home match against Riverheads on Tuesday, April 14. Action is set to begin with the junior varsity game at 5:30 p.m.
