Civil rights activist and ambassador to the United Nations Andrew Young was presented with the Jonathan Myrick Daniels Humanitarian Award at Virginia Military Institute. - More than $18,000 was raised for wetland and waterfowl conservation at the 18th annual dinner and auction for the Rockbridge chapter of Ducks Unlimited. - Five days after the official start of spring, Rockbridge was hit by a winter storm. Some areas had 4 inches of snow on the ground.
