RCHS NEWS

Thursday, March 27, is the opening night for the RCHS Survey of Theater and Dance class’ production of “Grease.” Students have been working all year to prepare for this show during their class.

This year’s production will run Thursday, Friday and Saturday, at 7 p.m. Doors will be open at 6 p.m. and admission is $8. There will be concessions for sale, along with “Grease” themed stickers, and “Grease” themed T-shirts. Additionally, every night a student jazz band will be performing. During these shows, RCHS students’ artwork from the course of the school year will be on display in the commons.

Every year, the school’s photojournalism program, the Trivium, hosts a movie night as a fundraiser at Hull’s Drive-In. This year’s fundraiser was on March 21. Each year, the Trivium chooses a popular movie to show, and also creates a spin-off short film that promotes this year’s yearbook. This year they chose the movie “Twilight.” In addition to the movie, the Trivium had events beforehand such as vampire trivia, a 50/50 raffle, a sparkle booth, and vampire waffle ball. Overall, this event was a fun way to raise money and support for the RCHS photojournalism class.
