Esther Pennington, 540-291-2629 High Bridge Presbyterian Church celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with a luncheon held this past Sunday after the service. Church members wore green clothing and brought green food items.
Holy Week activities include the Palm Sunday service on March 29. Maundy Thursday service will be held on April 2 at 7 p.m. The Easter egg hunt will be on Saturday, April 4, at 10 a.m. Easter Sunday worship will begin at 11 a.m. on April 5. Sunday school classes will not meet on Easter Sunday The cemetery committee wants to remind families and friends of loved ones buried in the cemetery that artificial flower arrangements, decorations and other items need to be removed from gravesites beginning April 1 through Oct. 31 for the mowing season.
The recent themed basket bingo fundraiser held at the firehouse brought in over $1,800 for the Weekday Religious Education program at Natural Bridge Elementary. Thanks again to everyone who participated and to those who help with the WRE program . The Natural Bridge/ Glasgow food pantry will open promptly at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 28, and close at 11 a.m. Special requests for the month of March are canned spaghetti sauce and pasta. Also, we appreciate donations of empty egg cartons.
