The Washington and Lee University Orchestra (two of whose members are pictured here) will present its winter term concert, “reNEWal,” an evening of music celebrating spring and rebirth, on Thursday, March 26 at 8 p.m. in Wilson Concert Hall. The performance is free and will be streamed online at https://go.wlu.edu/livestream. The doors to Wilson Concert Hall will open 30 minutes prior to the event. The concert will feature music by Beethoven, Delius, Mozart and Holmquist, as well as the “Berceuse an Final” from Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite. Paris Guerrero ’27 and Ava GianGrasso ’26 will be featured student conductors, and the University Orchestra will feature Dr. Jakob Hofer, W&L violin professor and director of orchestras at Southern Virginia University, as violin soloist, who will be joined by students from SVU for several selections.
