We extend sympathy to the family of Carroll Fitzgerald, a neighbor of mine, who passed away recently.

In the recent Town Council meeting, Councilwoman Lisa Rogers noted there will be a car show on the second Saturday in May at Knick Memorial Field. Also, plans are to host a softball league again this year, beginning at the end of May.

Two Rockin’ the Gorge events will be held this year, the first in July and the second in September.

Town decals are now on sale at Town Hall. These need to be displayed on your vehicles by April 15.

Updating and repairs to the wastewater plant have been on going and the town will seek to hire an operator in the near future. The former long-time operator retired last year.

I’m sure we’re all happy to see warmer weather, and the budding of spring flowers, and trees, and the grass turning green and soon the sound of lawn mowers and weed eaters will be heard throughout the town. Along with all this, my resident groundhog has come out of hibernation and eating in my backyard.
