ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

Notice is hereby given per Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia and Section 808 of the County of Rockbridge Land Development Regulations (the Regulations) that the following public hearing will be held by the Rockbridge County Board of Supervisors on Monday, March 9, 2026, at or after 6:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room in the County Administration Building, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450 to consider the following application: 1. Marlbrook Baptist Church, 6926 N Lee Hwy, Raphine, VA 24472 has made an application for a special exception permit for the construction of a structure in Zone AE Hatched (Floodway) in the Special Flood Hazard Area. The property is located on the north side of South River Road (Rt 608), approximately 0.24 miles southwest of the intersection McCrorys Hill (Rt 709) and South River Road. The property is owned by Marlbrook Baptist Church (above address) and is further identified as tax map number 52-5-2B. The property is located in the Agricultural and General Use (A-2) zoning district and is within the Flood Hazard [Overlay] District (FH-1). Per section 608.11-1(2) of the Regulations, structures for public and private recreational uses in the Zone AE Hatched (Floodway) of the Special Flood Hazard Area are a use by Special Exception in the FH-1 Overlay District. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors (the “Board”) of the County of Rockbridge, VIrginia (the “County”) will hold a public hearing on March 23, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as may be heard to receive public comment regarding the County’s issuance of a maximum not to exceed $15,500,000 general obligation school bond, in one or more series (the “Bond”). The proceeds of the Bond, together with any lawfully available funds to the extent appropriated, will be used by the School Board of the County to pay all or any portion of the costs to (a) acquire, construct, reconstruct, expand, and equip capital projects for school purposes in the County, including but not limited to construction, acquisition, and equipping of a recreation center and tennis courts, and (b) pay costs of issuance in connection with related financing(s) (the “Project”). The Bond will be a general obligation bond secured by the full faith and credit pledge of the County. The public hearing, which may be continued or adjourned, will be held in the Board Meeting Room, located on the 1st Floor of the Rockbridge County Administrative Office Building at 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450. All interested persons may attend the public hearing and may present their views on the proposed bond issuance, subject to the rules of the Board. BUENA VISTA CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING 3/19/2026

Pursuant to Code of Virginia Section 15.2-2204 and the City of Buena Vista Land Development Regulations, notice is given that the Council of the City of Buena Vista will hold a public hearing to receive comment on the following matters.

1) Zoning Map Amendment for Tax Maps 34-1-2-57-3, 34-1-2-575, and 34-1-2-57-7, consisting of the property of 2056/2068 Chestnut Ave (the Blue Ridge Abbey Bed & Breakfast). This proposal would rezone from R3 Residential Limited to MU Mixed Use for the purpose of operating a hotel (the correct zoning terminology) with 16 guest rooms. The hotel would consist of rooms in the existing structure; no new construction is proposed. Currently, the property operates with a Conditional Use Permit as a bed & breakfast inn with owner-occupancy in each building and a combined total of ten guest rooms. The Public Hearing will be held in the City Council Chambers located in the Municipal Building located at 2039 Sycamore Avenue in Buena Vista during the regular City Council meeting at approximately 6:00 PM on Thursday, March 19th 2026. BUENA VISTA CITY PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING 3/10/26

Pursuant to Code of Virginia Section 15.2-2204 and the City of Buena Vista Land Development Regulations, notice is given that the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to receive comment on the following matters.

1) Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for Tax Map 8-1—-1, located near 801 Meridian Parkway, for construction of a campground pursuant to Section 617.03-3 of the Land Development Regulations. The campground would consist of approximately ten sites and be primarily for use by students and staff of the Rockbridge Creative Institute as well as guests and customers of Meridian Farmstead.

The Public Hearing will be held in the City Council Chambers located in the Municipal Building located at 2039 Sycamore Avenue in Buena Vista during the regular monthly Planning Commission meeting at approximately 7:00 PM on Tuesday, March 10th 2026. ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given per Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia and Section 808 of the County of Rockbridge Land Development Regulations (the Regulations) that the following public hearing will be held by the Rockbridge County Planning Commission on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at or after 7:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room in the County Administration Building, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450 to consider the following application: 1. County of Rockbridge, Virginia, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450, Zoning Text Amendment (ZTA) to modify Section 1300 (Site Plan Requirements), Section 1300.02 (Administration of this Article) of the Regulations to update the review process of site plans, to conform with recent changes in state law.
