LLL Meeting In New Room

Overcoming difficulties with breastfeeding will be discussed at the next La Leche League meeting on Tuesday, March 10, at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, located at 123 W. Washington St., Lexington.

LLL will be using a new meeting room - the church library, which is one floor below the previous meeting space.

Topics that may be discussed at this meeting include how to know if a baby is getting enough milk, prevention or treatment of mastitis or plugged ducts, how to improve sleep patterns or just getting enough sleep when babies need to nurse every 2-4 hours round the clock.

Sharing ideas and strategies can be very positive and transformative for mothers to hear - especially from peers, said a spokesperson. LLL is an organization created on a foundation of sharing, exploring and deeply respecting the wisdom of breastfeeding mothers. LLL leaders are women who have breastfed their own children and have achieved a level of lactation knowledge that can help with most concerns. For more complicated issues, they can offer referrals to other professionals that may offer other ways to help.

All pregnant and nursing moms with babies and young children or partners are welcome to our meeting. A lending library is available.
