The Parry McCluer High School girls basketball team’s impressive run in the Pioneer District tournament ended with a 55-25 road loss to Narrows on Thursday night.
The third-seeded Fighting Blues (10-13 overall, 5-5 district), who had upset second-seeded Eastern Montgomery (12-8, 8-2) on Tuesday, lost to top seed Narrows (16-5, 10-0) for the third time this season. The Green Wave defended their district tournament title and beat the Blues in the finals for the second year in a row.
The Blues’ win over Eastern Montgomery earned them a home game in the Region 1C quarterfinals next Tuesday, Feb. 24. Check back here this weekend for the opponent and time.
