Both the Parry McCluer High School girls and boys basketball teams won their Pioneer District semifinal games on Tuesday night. The third-seeded PM girls (10-12 overall, 5-5 district) earned a 46-42 overtime win at second-seeded Eastern Montgomery (11-8, 8-2), while the top-seeded PM boys (18-3, 10-0) cruised to a 92-29 home win over fifth-seeded Bath County (5-14, 3-7).
For the district championship game, the PM girls will play at top seed Narrows (15-5, 10-0) on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. The PM boys aim to win their third consecutive district tournament title when they play host to Narrows (14-6, 6-3) in the district finals on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
