Last Thursday, Waddell Elementary School second-grade students enrolled in Angie Rader’s music class were finally able to put on their winter program that had originally been scheduled for December. “The Holly Jolly Pirates of Piñataville” tells the story of the happy citizens of Piñataville whose livelihood is disrupted when pirates plunder the candy contents of the festive paper maché vessels. To foil the pirates, the Piñatavillians replace the candy with hot peppers. The pirates beg for forgiveness and the two factions realize they can collaborate on creating piñatas together.
