Clarinet-Piano Duo At W&L
Washington and Lee University’s Concert Guild welcomes acclaimed artists Jon Nakamatsu and Jon Manasse to Wilson Concert Hall on Saturday, Feb. 7, at 7 p.m.
While both performers maintain active solo careers through their associations with the Van Cliburn International Competition and the Juilliard School, they have also distinguished themselves as global favorites in the chamber music scene as a clarinet- piano duo.
The evening’s program will include works by Brahms, Mendelssohn, and Bernstein, as well as ragtime pieces dedicated to the duo. The artists will also present a master class to W&L music students the following morning on Sunday, Feb. 8, at 10 in Wilson Concert Hall.
Tickets are required for the concert. Prices are $28 for the general public; $23 for seniors; $18 for W&L faculty and staff; and free for students.
