Sunday turned out to be a snow day for most area residents. A walk through downtown Lexington in the afternoon (below two photos) by Washington and Lee University student Ava Tallet-Kelpsa, who is interning with The News-Gazette this winter, captured mostly empty and quiet streets. Of course, many of our younger residents got out and enjoyed playing in the snow, including (above) the Hostetters in Natural Bridge Station – Kolstyn, 3, Cadi, 13, Wattsyn, 2, Zayden, 8, and Draecyn, 6, along with furr baby Bear. The Hostetters’ photo was one of many snow photos posted on The News-Gazette’s Facebook page over the weekend.
