The Friends of the Chessie Trail is inviting community members to its annual meeting on Monday, Feb. 9, at 6 p.m. in the Hillel meeting room on the campus of Washington and Lee University.
The event will feature guest speaker Jeff Trollinger from the Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources talking about the Virginia Wildlife Action Plan.
The group will also vote at this meeting to elect board directors and fill one officer position. It is also proposing amendments to its bylaws, finalized after a year-long review by the board development committee.
The Friends of the Chessie Trail welcomes new members who are interested in preserving and enhancing the nature trail. The annual membership form is available online through its website at www.friendsofthechessietrail.org/.
