Even though snow was only hours away, a large crowd once again turned out for the annual seed give-away Saturday morning at the RARA Piovano Building in Lexington. The event, sponsored by the Rockbridge Area Master Gardeners, featured seeds from over 100 different varieties and even starter kits (as seen in bottom photo). Beginning Feb. 1, the RAMGA seed collection will be housed at the Rockbridge Regional Library in Lexington and available for free “check-out” while supplies last. (Mary Woodson photos)
