On Jan. 14, the RCHS Student Council Association hosted a blood drive. Students 16 and up could choose to donate blood throughout the day. All the blood goes to the American Red Cross. Students interested in donating blood in the future should visit Room 118 to learn more about upcoming drives. RCHS seniors who donate are eligible for a Red Cross scholarship given away at Senior Night and earn a cord at graduation.

The National Honor Society is preparing for its annual Lip Sync Battle which will be held on Feb. 27 in the RCHS auditorium. Students are encouraged to sign up and participate with their friends, a club, or individually. A link to sign up is in the student’s email and the deadline is Jan. 30. In past years, there have been eight to 10 acts, but this year, the NHS is hoping to have 15-20 acts. Proceeds from the event are donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
