Approximately 200 area residents gathered on the streets of Lexington Sunday afternoon to join the nationwide protest of the fatal shooting of a woman in Minneapolis last week by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer. The local event was organized by the Lexington and Rockbridge and Buena Vista Democrats, in partnership with 50 Ways Rockbridge. Area residents held signs at several downtown locations.
