50 Ways for Palestine group continues its series of events to educate the local community on the ongoing conflict in Palestine.
On Monday, Jan. 26, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., at Rockbridge Regional Library’s Piovano Room, the group will sponsor a “teachin,” an opportunity for knowledgeable people to share what they know, accept questions, distribute resources, and spark important conversations.
This is the second in a series of events to bring attention to the conflict in Palestine. Three speakers will present on three topics: brief history of the conflict; how the conflict is described and discussed in Israel; and how autonomous weapons and AI form a part of this conflict.
Local resident Charlie Mayock-Bradley comments, “Although the Palestine conflict may seem far away, events like this teachin help us understand our stake in the conflict and how we can help to end it.”
