Vesuvius

Carolyn Terrell, (540) 430-4915/[email protected]

Chris Terrell, Patsy Earhart, Robert Terrell, James Fisk, Brenda Moore, Amy Fields, Marion Rankin, Blayne Landes (my great-grandson) Angie Waymac all celebrated birthdays in December and to Barbara Bowers, Nellie Hamilton Cash (my aunt), Alice Wood Sandridge (a classmate of mine), Landon Phillips, Efrain Grant, Winfred Ramsey, Gary Price, Paul Ritter, Jerald Newman and (my great-granddaughter) Addison Horn are having birthdays in January.

Happy anniversary to Paul and Valerie Ritter, Alan and Geena Fitzgerald and Richard and Lark Powell. Better health prayers for Mabel Berry and Tyler Clem.

On Nov. 28, Pastor Tyler Clem announced his resignation from Vesuvius Baptist Church. We have been having various pastors to come and preach for us during this time of transition. The Sunday before Christmas we had a luncheon after the morning service. On Christmas Eve, we had a wonderful candlelight service with scripture reading, prayers and singing. Even the little ones seemed to enjoy this evening of worshipping Jesus.

Emory United Methodist Church had their Christmas play Dec. 21.

This year, since I was in Texas last year, I put up a Christmas tree. I have really enjoyed it. I had Christmas with the Terry Brooks (my uncle) family on Saturday, Dec. 27. The food was delicious. This date is also the day that I married my husband, Jerry Terrell in 1992. It would have been our 33rd anniversary. On Sunday, Dec. 28, our Terrell family met after church at Don Tequila. I love this Mexican restaurant. Their food and service is great. Plus my family likes it also. This was a gift to them plus some little extra gifts. So now we are into 2026. My prayer is for all my readers to be blessed in this year with happiness, health and prosperity. May my Lord watch over each and everyone.
