The Rockbridge County High School wrestling team went 4-4 in the West Virginia Army National Guard Duals Wrestling Tournament on Friday and Saturday in Summersville, W.Va.
On Friday, the Wildcats went 3-1. They earned a 42-33 win over Ashley Bland before falling to Braxton County 70-18. RC bounced back with a 59-24 victory over Nicholas County and ended the day by defeating Herbert Hoover 53-16.
RC went 1-3 on Saturday. Scores from Saturday’s matches were not available.
The Wildcats will return to Shenandoah District action today, Wednesday, when they travel to Fishersville to compete in a trimeet at Wilson Memorial. On Saturday, the Wildcats will visit Rocktown for a dual meet in Harrisonburg, starting at 9 a.m.
RC will play host for its only home meet of the season next Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 6 p.m., against district rivals Buffalo Gap and Staunton.
