CITY OF LEXINGTON NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING APPLICATION BY WASHINGTON AND LEE UNIVERSITY REQUESTING THAT THE UNIVERSITY’S MASTER PLAN BE AMENDED TO AUTHORIZE A REDUCTION IN A MINIMUM BUILDING SETBACK FOR THE PROPOSED FOUNDERS HALL AT THE CORNER OF WASHINGTON STREET AND LEE AVENUE.

A public hearing will be conducted by the Lexington City Council at a meeting to begin at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 15, 2026, in the first floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, to allow persons to appear and present their views in response to an application by Washington and Lee University requesting to reduce the existing thirty-four (34) foot minimum building setback to Washington Street for the Admissions and Financial Center building, now called Founders Hall, to twenty-one (21) feet. A copy of the application, case number MPA 2025-01, is available for public review and examination between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. in the Planning and Development Department located 539 E. CITY OF BUENA VISTA PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING January 13th 2026

Pursuant to Code of Virginia Section 15.2-2204 and the City of Buena Vista Land Development Regulations, notice is given that the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to receive comment on the following matters.

1) Zoning Map Amendment for Tax Maps 34-1-2-57-3, 34-1-257-5, and 34-1-2-57-7, consisting of the property of 2056/2068 Chestnut Ave, the Blue Ridge Abbey Bed & Breakfast. This proposal would rezone from R3 Residential Limited to MU Mixed Use for the purpose of operating a hotel (zoning terminology) with 24 rooms. The hotel would consist of rooms in the existing structure and construction of eight detached cottages on the site. The Public Hearing will be held in the City Council Chambers located in the Municipal Building located at 2039 Sycamore Avenue in Buena Vista during the regular monthly Planning Commission meeting at approximately 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 13th 2026. LEXINGTON CITY COUNCIL NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING

Please take notice that on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 5:30 PM, or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the second-floor meeting room of the City of Lexington Interim City Hall, 539 East Nelson Street, Lexington, Virginia, the Lexington City Council will hold a one-item regular meeting for City Council to consider the approval of the City Manager’s Chief of Police appointment of Justin Doll, a resident of Rockbridge County, Virginia.

The regular meeting will be immediately followed by an already- scheduled work session to discuss goals for fiscal year 2026-27. ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

Notice is hereby given per Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia and Section 808 of the County of Rockbridge Land Development Regulations (the Regulations) that the following public hearings will be held by the Rockbridge County Planning Commission on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at or after 7:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room in the County Administration Building, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450 to consider the following applications: 1. County of Rockbridge, Virginia, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450, Zoning Text Amendment (ZTA) to modify the Regulations to add a section pertaining to Solar Facilities. In addition to the section pertaining to Solar Facilities, the proposed ZTA includes modifications to Section 302 (Specific Definitions), to include modifications existing definitions, and to define new terms pertaining to Solar Facilities. Lastly, the proposed ZTA includes modifications to Article 6 (Uses in Districts). 2. County of Rockbridge, Virginia, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450, Zoning Text Amendment (ZTA) to modify the Regulations to add a section pertaining to Disclosure of Equitable Ownership and Real Party in Interest. 3. At Ease Retreat Corporation, 3005 N. West Street, Falls Church, Virginia 22046 has made an application for a zoning map amendment. The property is identified as 352 Tye River Turnpike, Vesuvius, Virginia 24483 and further identified as tax map # 41-A5A (6.12 ac. per tax records). The property is on the west side of Tye River Turnpike (Route 56) approximately 0.179 miles north of the intersection of Tye River Turnpike (Route 56) and South Bottom Road (Route 608). The property is owned by At Ease Retreat Corporation (above address) and is currently split zoned with 4.42 acres in the General Residential (R-1) Zoning District and the remaining acreage (1.70 acres) in the Agricultural and General Uses (A-2) Zoning District. The pending application is to rezone the 4.42 acres that are currently in the R-1 Zoning District to the A-2 Zoning District.

West Street, Falls Church, Virginia 22046 has made an application for a Special Exception Permit (SEP) to develop and operate a lodge/resort in the Agricultural and General Uses (A-2) Zoning District. The property is identified as 352 Tye River Turnpike, Vesuvius, Virginia 24483 and further identified as tax map # 41-A-5A (6.12 acres per tax records). The property is on the west side of Tye River Turnpike (Route 56) approximately 0.179 miles north of the intersection of Tye River Turnpike (Route 56) and South Bottom Road (Route 608). The property is owned by At Ease Retreat Corporation (above address). Per section 603.03-1 of the County of Rockbridge Land Development Regulations (the regulations) “lodge or resort, country inn” is a use by special exception in the Agricultural and General Uses (A-2) Zoning District. A portion of the property is currently in the Residential General (R-1) Zoning District with a pending application to rezone the entire property to the Agricultural and General Uses (A-2) Zoning District. The application for the Special Exception Permit (SEP) is contingent upon the pending rezoning application.
