The Lexington School Board heard a discouraging report that pupil test scores were continuing their downward trend, particularly in math. - Michael D. Collinwood of Roanoke bought André studio from Paul Jewel. Collingwood, a veteran of the Vietnam War, had previously managed the Gentry Studio in Salem for four years. - The Stonewall Jackson Hospital Auxiliary purchased a “recording Resusci-Anne,” a life size mannequin used to train medical personnel in life saving techniques.
