Welcome to The News-Gazette’s annual Christmas children’s writings project.
The December snow days kept several of our schools from participating this year, but, as you will see, we’ve got lots of entertaining, and sometimes touching, writings for you to enjoy from the children who were able to take part.
Once again, you will find that what matters most to many of the children is spending time with family, with a fair number of children this year wanting their grandparents to live closer.
And there were lots of children wanting dogs for Christmas.
We would like to thank the principals, teachers and students at Mountain View, Kling and Enderly Heights elementary schools for helping with this year’s writings project, and we wish everyone a happy Christmas and holiday season. -Darryl Woodson
