Christmas In Brownsburg

Brownsburg’s “Christmas in the Country” celebration Saturday included a wide range of activities, from a house tour to holiday food, a visit from Santa and even a chance to pet goats thanks to Hailey Moore’s Heritage Pets. Among the scenes were (clockwise from above) Mattox McDonald getting some goat love; Patti Subrizi checking out a Christmas tree in the historic Lucas House; a horse-drawn carriage awaits outside the Lucas House; Coleen Piranian explaining the “courting door” at Sleepy Hollow; an old stuffed animal and a Santa adorning a tree skirt in the Lucas House; visitors checking out the 1940s Georgia jail cell bought by the owners of the Old Brownsburg Store B&B and installed in the basement; and a holiday meal being served up at historic Asbury Church.
