Library Book Sale This Week

The December book sale at the Lexington branch of the Rockbridge Regional Library will be held Thursday, Dec. 4, 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Friday, Dec. 5, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 6, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

There will be some beautiful quilting books in like-new condition, as well as other craft books. The library is happy to accept any books in a reasonable condition, but cannot accept those with excessive dirt, mold or ripped pages. “Without your donations, there could be no book sales,” said a spokesperson. “Thank you for remembering us!”

Prices for children’s books are 50 cents and audio books $1. Prices range from 50 cents for paperback to $2 for hardback books. The $2 bag sale will be all day on Saturday - fill a paper bag for $2.

Staff and volunteers work together to make the monthly book sale a success. Volunteers, who work in shifts, are needed for the days of the book sale especially on Saturday. Anyone interested in volunteering to help with the book sale can ask to fill out a volunteer form at the front desk of the library or request it online by emailing the librarian at the bottom of the website at https://www. rrlib.net.
