Kendal Craft Fair Growing

Kendal at Lexington’s sixth annual Holiday Craft Fair is just around the corner, bringing together the talents of older adult residents and staff.

The craft fair will be held Friday, Dec. 5, and Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kendal Hall, 160 Kendal Drive.

This year, the community will feature 24 vendors — 16 residents and eight staff artists and crafters. This represents a significant growth in participation, with four more resident vendors than last year.

The fair is more than just a place to shop; it’s a celebration of artistry, passion and connection, said a spokeswoman.

This year’s fair will feature a variety of handmade items, including carved birds, quilted table runners, woven scarves, holiday ornaments and delicious food items, alongside the beautiful works from dozens of featured artists.

One of the fair’s highlights is the Staff Appreciation Fund table, where donated crafts from residents and staff are sold to support the Kendal team. In each of the last two years, this table has raised over $1,000 for the fund.
