On Oct. 14, Parry McCluer hosted an academic awards ceremony for grades 3–12 in the high school gymnasium. Parents were invited as well to watch their child walk on stage. All student awardees were given a medal for earning all A and A/B honor rolls. Twenty senior parents put jackets on their children. Each of these seniors achieved a 3.5 GPA or higher throughout their high school career.
Parry McCluer High School held a homecoming dance on Oct. 18 after the football game on the 17th. During the game, the homecoming king and queen were announced, Levi Hepler and Kaelyn Roberts, and the homecoming representatives - Braddic Brockenbrough, Macey Harrison, Grayson Simmons, Adrienne Willis, Racheal Lawhorne, Todd Carter, Brenan Schulke, Xenia Guevara, Logan Wheelock, Presley Austin, Vincent Wilson, Jaidynn Simmons, Griffin Harlow, Nikki Carroll, Levi Hepler and Kaelyn Roberts - were celebrated.
The theme of the dance was “Arabian Nights.” Students enjoyed Middle-Eastern ornate decorations and assortments of food.
On Oct. 16, the theater group in Parry McCluer High School held an interactive murder mystery party. During the party a murder happened and guests had to figure out who the murderer was. The primary suspects in the party were Adam Lee, Melanie Carpenter, Bowen Romriell, Nikki Carroll, Emily Lopez, Noah Whitehead, and Lyncoln Tobias. Dinner was served. The evening was so successful the theater group held an encore party on Oct. 24.
