Evensong, an Anglican tradition of sung Evening Prayer, will take place on the Sunday of Christ the King at Grace Episcopal Church on Nov. 23 at 5 p.m.
The service, featuring music by Thomas Tallis, Alec Wyton, William Smith, and Martha Burford, will be sung by the chancel choir of Grace comprising parishioners and students from Washington and Lee and Southern Virginia universities, and augmented by musicians Dr. Benjamin Gaughran, Dr. Mackenzie Romriell, and Dr. Scott Williamson. The Rev. Dr. R. David Cox will officiate.
Morning services are at 8 and 10:30. The Rev. Tuck Bowerfind is the celebrant and preacher.
