About 700 Buena Vista residents woke up without power Friday morning, after a power outage
hit a portion of the city overnight. According to a Dominion Energy representative, the outage
was caused by “equipment malfunction” and occurred around 4:30 a.m. The situation was
addressed quickly and power was restored by 9:30.
