On Nov. 21, The Prowler is hosting its annual talent show in the RCHS Auditorium. This talent show is put on every year to raise money for the school’s journalism program. There are 17 acts with a variety of magic, singing, and dancing. There are also raffle baskets to enter with a variety of prizes from sponsors. This year’s theme is “The Great Catsby.” The doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are for sale at the door for $7.
At the last home football game on Nov. 7, the student-run food pantry, Food For Thought, held a raffle. Instead of buying raffle tickets, every food item that people brought to donate was exchanged for one raffle ticket. They collected canned vegetables, canned fruit, rice, and other non-perishable food items for the school’s food pantry. They could have also paid $2 to buy a ticket. The raffle prizes were worth over $400 dollars of gift certificates to restaurants such as Don Tequila, Pure Eats, Cupcake Heaven, and more. The winners were pulled at halftime.
