LEXINGTON CITY PUBLIC SCHOOLS NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING SCHOOL FUND BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2027

Pursuant to Section 22.1-92 of the Code of Virginia, notice is hereby given that a public hearing to receive comments on the School Fund Budget for Fiscal Year 2027 will be held at 5:30 pm on November 12, 2025, prior to the School Board meeting to take place in the School Board office at 300 Diamond Street.

ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given per Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia and Section 808 of the County of Rockbridge Land Development Regulations (the Regulations) that the following public hearing will be held by the Rockbridge County Planning Commission on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at or after 7:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room in the County Administration Building, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450 to consider the following application: 1. BARC Electric Cooperative, PO Box 246 Millboro, Virginia 24460 has made an application to amend conditions associated with a previously approved special exception permit (SEP) for a public utility in the Agriculture and General Uses (A-2) Zoning District. The property is identified as 1972 Big Spring Drive, Lexington, Virginia 24450 and is further identified as TM# 47-A-50 (15.24 ac.). The property is located on the northeast side of the intersection of W. Midland Trail (Rte. 60) and Fredericksburg Road (Rte. 60) The property is owned by BARC Electric Cooperative (above address). The SEP to develop a public utility was approved by the Board of Supervisors on May 26, 2015; and amended SEP was approved by the Board of Supervisors on April 14, 2025. The pending application is to amend conditions associated with the April 14, 2025 SEP to allow for the construction of a building and to remove the period of validity associated with the April 14, 2025 SEP. The property is in the Kerrs Creek Magisterial District. CITY OF LEXINGTON NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO REVIEW AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ARTICLE XIII. SIGNS AND ARTICLE XX. DEFINITIONS OF THE CITY OF LEXINGTON ZONING ORDINANCE TO ALLOW CANOPY SIGNS IN THE C-1 AND C-2 ZONING DISTRICTS

A public hearing will be conducted by the Lexington City Council at 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 20, 2025 in the first floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, to allow persons to appear and present their views in response to an application by Francesco Benincasa to amend the Lexington Zoning Ordinance. The application proposes amending a) Article XIII to allow canopy signs in the C-1 and C-2 zoning districts, and b) Article XX to amend the definition for “canopy sign” and to add a definition for “awning sign”. Pursuant to Code of Virginia, Section 15.2-1800 and Section 10.11701, and the City of Buena Vista Land Development Regulations, notice is given that the City Council of the City of Buena Vista will hold a public hearing to receive comment on the following matters. 1. Deed of designation of openspace land pursuant to Code of Virginia Section 10.1-1701 for approximately 6 acres of City-owned river front land near Advanced Drainage Systems and Chalk Mine Run. This deed results from a grant from the Virginia Outdoors Foundation to fund design of new river access points on the Maury River.

The Public Hearing will be held in Council Chambers, City Hall, 2039 Sycamore Ave, Buena Vista VA 24416. The meeting begins at 6:00 PM on Thursday, November 6th 2025. CITY OF BUENA VISTA PLANNING COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARING November 12th 2025

Note: this meeting will be on Wednesday 11/12/2025 instead of Tuesday due to Veterans’ Day. Pursuant to Code of Virginia Section 15.2-2204 and the City of Buena Vista Land Development Regulations, notice is given that the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to receive comment on the following matters.

1) Zoning Text Amendment, Section 705 Home Occupations, for the purpose of updating policies related to home occupation businesses and clarifying text.

The Public Hearing will be held in the City Council Chambers located in the Municipal Building located at 2039 Sycamore Avenue in Buena Vista during the regular monthly Planning Commission meeting at approximately 7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 12th 2025.
