The Natural Bridge-Frontier Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will hold a genealogy workshop on Monday, Nov. 10, at 10 a.m. at the Rockbridge Regional Library in Lexington.
The workshop is designed for those who want to know more about their ancestors who served in the Revolutionary War and who may be interested in joining the DAR.
To assist attendees in their research will be a Midge Elliot, a genealogist, and Tom Camden, retired director of Special Collections & Archives at Washington and Lee University. Additionally, attendees can learn more about the DAR membership application process. The workshop will help with the necessary information to prove one’s ancestor’s service in the Revolutionary War, and their lineage to them.
“With the 250th anniversary is fast approaching, now is the time to honor your ancestor, prove their service, and join the DAR,” said a spokeswoman. For more information; contact [email protected].
