Lexington Presbyterian Church will present another Music at Noon concert on Friday, Nov. 14 at noon in the church sanctuary.
The Music at Noon series of half-hour concerts has been offered for decades at Lexington Presbyterian Church, and often presents music corresponding to the church year. Many concerts display the church’s C. B. Fisk pipe organ, opus 128 (2007).
The Nov. 14 concert will present organist William McCorkle in a short program of music for organ inspired by the hymn “Nun danket alle Gott” (“Now Thank We All Our God”).
Featured will be works of well-known composers J.S. Bach, Max Reger, and Marcel Dupré, as well as some delightful less familiar works by Justin Heinrich Knecht, Heinrich Wettstein, Johann Philipp Kirnberger, and others, along with a series of improvisations by William McCorkle.
