Grace Episcopal Church will hold its monthly Celtic Contemplative Service with Prayers for Healing, Poetry, Scripture and Music this Sunday, Nov. 9, at 5 p.m.
Officiating clergy will be the Rev. Anne Grizzle and the Rev. R. David Cox. Dr. Jakob Hofer, faculty member of Southern Virginia University and Washington and Lee University, will join Grace’s minister of music, Martha Burford, and choral scholars in offering music from Ireland, Scotland, and a piece by American composer, Florence Price.
James Keane, a graduate of the University of the South School of Theology, who served as chaplain for the Episcopal students at Virginia Military Institute and W&L, will give the reflection.
Morning services Sunday are at 8 and 10:30, with the Rev. Tuck Bowerfind, celebrant.
