Election Enters Final Stretch Local, State Races On Ballot
We’re in the final week of early voting for next Tuesday’s elections in which voters in Virginia will be electing a governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general and all 100 members of the House of Delegates Locally, voters will be electing the Kerrs Creek and Walkers Creek members of the Rockbridge County Board of Supervisors; Buena Vista mayor, three members of City Council and four members of the School Board; Rockbridge County and Lexington sheriff; Buena Vista sheriff, commonwealth’s attorney, treasurer and commissioner of revenue; Lexington treasurer and commissioner of revenue; and Glasgow mayor and three members of Town Council.
Early in-person voting continues at local registrars’ offices through this Saturday, Nov. 1. When casting a ballot, registered voters are required to present a valid ID.
Polls will be open on Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. There have been no precinct changes in Rockbridge County, Buena Vista or Lexington since the last election. Ballot information and a list of acceptable forms of identification can be found online at the Virginia Department of Elections website at www.elections.virginia. gov.
