Oct. 22, 2025 Editor, The News-Gazette: There was an article in The News-Gazette for the high school that stated a program they wanted to start and they stated why.
The assistant principal, soon to become principal said, “over the past few years concerns have been shared about a noticeable rise in mental and behavior health challenges,” however, there was nothing said as to why this program would help with these concerns.
So I went to the meeting in reference to Mr. Shaun Sparks’ quote.
I stated how these two concerns could better be served if girls go to their own bathroom and boys go to their bathrooms … That certainly would help mental and behavioral health issues!
And he came back with, “I didn’t say anything about bathroom policy.”
My point was that his problems he stated could be better served if you changed the bathroom policy.
Is it what he wanted to work on? Right!
No, his agenda is solely to get 4x4 block scheduling in the high school. And if stating a noticeable rise in mental and behavioral health challenges would help, he says, “Go for it!”
Is that helpful to our students?
