Applications for Rockbridge Area Tourism event sponsorship opportunities are now being accepted. The window for completing an application began Oct. 17 and continues through Nov. 16.
Applicants must be organizing an event within Lexington, Buena Vista or Rockbridge County, and the event must occur between Jan 1 and June 30 of the upcoming year. Requests should not exceed $3,000 per event. Awards will be based on the strength of the application, including special attention to the potential to attract out-of-town visitors. A total of $10,000 is earmarked for distribution, though total disbursement is not guaranteed.
