CITY OF LEXINGTON NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AMENDMENT OF FISCAL YEAR 2024-2025 BUDGET Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be conducted by the Lexington City Council on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. during its regular meeting, held in the first-floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia, to solicit input on Ordinance 202507 amending the FY 2025 budget from $56,967,182 to $58,741,181. This ordinance proposes reallocating $387,644 previously appropriated funds among various functions of Lexington’s operations. Unspent funds within Community Development, General Government Administration, Leisure Services, Public Safety, and Public Works will be used to cover overages in Health Education and Welfare. The ordinance requests $1,200,225 in new appropriations from bond proceeds to cover bond-related expenditures. This ordinance appropriates $4,700 additional funds for donations received by Lexington City Schools, $172,285 for un-planned work required at Moore’s Creek Dam, $149,908 in new appropriations from Utility Fund bond proceeds to cover bond related expenditures, $309,899 from the Capital Projects fund balance to cover expenses related to relocating City Hall during renovations, and $86,890 for expenditures relating to the White Street Stormwater best management practices pond. Copies of the Ordinances may be obtained from the City Manager’s Office in temporary City Hall at 539 E. Nelson Street.

CITY OF LEXINGTON NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AMENDMENT OF FISCAL YEAR 2025-2026 BUDGET Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be conducted by the Lexington City Council on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. during its regular meeting, held in the first-floor meeting room of the Rockbridge County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia, to solicit input on Ordinance 202508 amending the FY 2026 budget from $48,183,799 to $48,483,799. This ordinance proposes appropriating $300,000 in unanticipated proceeds relating to paving costs in the City. Copies of the Ordinances may be obtained from the City Manager’s Office in temporary City Hall at 539 E. Nelson Street.
