Oct. 13, 2025 Editor, The News-Gazette: I support Boyd Brown for Kerrs Creek supervisor. I heard him speak at a forum and have spoken with him in depth since then. I found him to be open to discussion and willing to listen to others. We need to collaborate to achieve community goals.
Do your due diligence, question what you hear and read! An ad in this paper last week implied that Boyd Brown had consented to have an out-of-state PAC speak for him. He had not. Research for yourself and use official sources! You will learn that the “Private Property Rights PAC” out of Texas has been sending campaign material about candidates all across Virginia, with or without their consent.
Also, as much as it might be desirable, it is not always possible to wait and save over time for something important. Any of us who own property know that most often a mortgage with interest payment made that possible. We also know that prices rise over time.
We have lived and raised our family here for 50 years. Our children graduated from RCHS 25 years ago; they could have used an Innovation Center back then.
